Apartmentservice presented the SO!APART Awards 2023 in five jury categories in Leipzig: freytag in Hamburg won in the "small fine" category with a maximum of 50 serviced apartments units. The property focuses on a small, refined old building concept with a salon culture. Jury member Heinrich Böhm, Senior Designer and Partner at JOI-Design Innenarchitekten, emphasised this in his laudatory speech.

The Revo München in Munich won the coveted SO!APART Award 2023 in the "large and grand" category for aparthotels. "The new high-rise building with around 600 serviced apartments and rooms has managed to create a special cosmos. It has done so with an enormous variety and attention to detail that is rarely found," said jury member Sylvie Konzack, editor-in-chief of the specialist magazine SO!APART insight. Revo Munich, which was launched a year ago, also won in the "new and special" category, making it one of the few double winners since the SO!APART Awards were first presented in 2013.

As a special feature of this award year, there was another double winner: the Black F Tower in Freiburg also picked up two trophies. "We were already enthusiastic about the brand's debut property in 2021," says jury member Uwe Niemann, Head of Market Hotel Financing at Deutsche Hypo NORD/LB Real Estate Finance. The Black F Tower is yet another real development and wins in the "large and grand" category (apartment block). The jury members Henrik von Bothmer, Head of Operated Living at Union Investment, and architect Helmut Dörfer, Partner at Dörfer Grohnmeier Architekten Partnerschaft, emphasised that the Black F Tower was also convincing in the "sustainable and special" category, as both the building and its day-to-day operation are exemplary.

As a surprise, the jury awarded another trophy in the category. While the Black F Tower won the sustainability award as a new build, an existing property was also honoured for the first time: The Adapt Apartments in Berlin won the award. The apartment complex in Adlershof already opted for a clay facade, among other things, when it was built over ten years ago and still pursues a far-reaching sustainability strategy in all its processes today.

Two audience awards go to Berlin and Dortmund

The public alone decided the winners in the categories "The most popular small" and "The most popular large". An online voting process was launched from summer to October. Christoph Carnier, President of the business travel association VDR, presented the prizes to PM-AM Apartments in Dortmund as "The most popular small hotel". The "Most popular large" was awarded to the Adapt Apartments in Berlin.

All award winners were announced and honoured in a festive setting and in the presence of the most important players in the serviced apartment segment at SO!APART in the Felix Suites on Augustusplatz. SO!APART is the most important conference for the serviced apartment segment in German-speaking countries and took place for the 11th time this year.
