The German Bonus Awards with initiator Ulf-Gunnar Switalski (l.) and Bleisure Traveller with founders Sylvie Konzack (2nd from left) and Kai Böcking (2nd from right) congratulate the best workation hotels of the year: Tobias Berghäuser from KPM Hotel & Residences in Berlin (r., 1st place), Julia Fernández-Pola from Adina Hotels (3rd from left, 2nd place) and Julia Kleber, who represented the W Costa Navarino (3rd place) at the ITB.

The German Bonus Awards actually focus on the customer loyalty programmes of the year in the categories of travel, hotels, shopping, lifestyle, finance and cashback. In this year's third edition, 115,000 consumers voted for winners such as Miles & More, Payback, BahnBonus and Marriott Bonvoy.

The Employer Loyalty Workation Award celebrated a special premiere this year. "We want to give the hotels and serviced apartments with the best opportunities for workations a platform - as an instrument for employee loyalty, so to speak. That's why we launched the award together with Bleisure Traveller magazine as a new jury category," said Ulf-Gunnar Switalski, initiator of the German Bonus Awards, at the award ceremony this week at the international travel trade fair ITB in Berlin.

KPM Hotels & Residences in Berlin made it to the top of the winners' podium. Managing Director Tobias Berghäuser accepted the award. The jury based its decision on the inspiring and modern feel-good offer in the city centre. "The hotel is a design statement in the middle of Berlin with the cosiest work bunks in the apartments and some even have their own garden," says Sylvie Konzack, jury member and editor-in-chief of Bleisure Traveller.

Second place went to Adina Hotels as the serviced apartment market leader in Germany - with its iconic high-rise property in Munich. "The Adina Hotel Munich has been a very special work and bleisure location high above the city on the Isar since 2021, not least with the roof terraces and sheep in front of some of the apartments," says Anett Gregorius, jury member and founder and owner of Apartmentservice.

Third place went to a classic hotel in Greece: the W Hotel by Marriott in the exceptional Costa Navarino project. The Arial has been under construction for around 15 years and boasts highlights such as its own Greek agora and numerous congress and leisure facilities. Situated on the Peloponnese, in a largely unspoilt coastal and mountain landscape, it is a special invitation to inspired work, explained the jury.

"It was a pleasure to be part of the jury and it makes me proud that the first and second place remain the best Workation hotels in the serviced apartment segment. Congratulations to the winners," says Anett Gregorius. The next edition of the award will take place next year and will be expanded to include the best workation destination.
