The project was developed in collaboration with the renowned Berlin IT company HotelNetSolutions. The already existing HNS system OnePageBooking was upgraded for Apartmentservice as a new OTA and apart from that customised to the special requirements of the serviced apartment industry.
For example, rates will automatically adjust according to the length of stay. A preview calendar offers the chance to view the availability of different categories across several months at a glance. Bookings of three months and longer can be made hassle-free if the availability is given. Additional services can be booked to the day or a on monthly basis. Furthermore, all booking steps are clearly arranged on one page and can be managed by intuition. Users are able to create a personal account in order to book even quicker. Finally, the booking engine is bilingual – in English and German – and also available on mobile devices. The content, rates and availabilites are maintained by the operators of the apartment houses, just as they do with other online booking engines. This is either done manually or via data transfer through channel managers. Apartments are generally bookable up to twelve months in advance.
