MUNICH: The preparations for the Oktoberfest 2012 started

Munich is looking forward to the Oktoberfest 2012! Since mid-July, the buildup of the Oktoberfest constructions advances. The Theresienwiese is now transformed into a giant construction site. Traditionally, the beer tents are set up first and already start taking shape. As of August, the booths and high rides will be erected; the driving showmen will join to the fairground in September.

From September 22nd to October 7th, the gates of the largest public festival in the world will open up. For a stroll through the fairgrounds no ticket is required. Yet, to raise a toast in one of the beer tents, many visitors have long reserved seats.
