BERLIN: Fleeing the cold
02.02.2012
While some like to wrap up to be protected from the cold, others would rather completely flee from it.
A special kind of winter escape is offered in Berlin: From February 7th through 12th, the African Circus „Mother Africa“ gives guest performances in the German capital. Gorgeous costumes, pulsing rhythms and fascinating artistries make guests easily slip away to Africa. The „Cirque of Senses“ is special: traditional African elements are skillfully mixed with modern circus and show elements. Guests experience fascinating acrobatics, rousing live music and dance choreography rooted in the African culture. Boundless energy and an over-flowing joy of live round up the show.
A total of seven shows can be seen in the Admiralspalast, one of Berlin´s famous places of entertainment from the early 20th century and rich of traditions.
Even before the show gets started, Berlin visitors will love to settle in their accomodation. Our recommendation: An overnight at the Adina Apartment Hotel Berlin Checkpoint. The house, located in Berlins´ historical centre, offers 127 studios and apartments starting at 105 Euro per night. On 27 to 67 comfortable square meters, also a completely furnished kitchen is available and lets also private stays become a delight. And maybe you complete the day visiting the "Alto Restaurant and Bar" – just to enjoy a small snack or a delicious meal of several courses.
